Android privacy policy
Effective date: 7 October 2026
This policy covers the Lucky Charm app for Android (package app.luckycharm.mobile), published on Google Play by Kraftostech (Kraftos Tech Solutions LLP), “we”. Our website and the Mac and Windows apps have their own privacy policy.
In short
- No accounts, no ads, no advertising ID, no analytics and no crash reporting.
- Your charm, settings and any photo you pick stay on your phone. We never receive them.
- The only data that leaves your phone is what is needed to sell and restore your one-time purchase, handled by Google Play and our purchase provider RevenueCat.
- We do not sell data or share it for advertising.
Purchases
Lucky Charm is unlocked with a one-time in-app purchase. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play; we never see your card or payment details. To confirm and restore your purchase, the app uses RevenueCat, Inc. as our service provider. When the app checks or makes a purchase, RevenueCat receives:
- your purchase history for this app (product, purchase token, date, price, currency and store country)
- a random app user ID that RevenueCat creates (it is not linked to your name, email or Google account)
- basic technical details sent with any internet request, such as the app version, Android version and your IP address
This is used only to unlock the app, restore it on a new phone and keep sales records we are legally required to keep. RevenueCat processes it on our behalf under its privacy policy. Google’s handling of Play purchases is covered by the Google privacy policy. Data is encrypted in transit.
What stays on your phone
The app saves these in its private storage, which only Lucky Charm can read:
- which charm you picked, and your custom emoji if you set one
- your photo charm, if you make one: you choose a single photo with Android’s photo picker, and the app keeps a small round copy. It never sees your other photos and never uploads the copy
- where the charm hangs, whether it is switched on, its opacity, and whether it reacts to motion
- whether you have finished the welcome screens and whether the app is unlocked
The app opts out of Android cloud backup, so this data is not copied to Google Drive. We never receive it.
Motion sensor
When “Tilt and shake” is on, the app reads your phone’s accelerometer so the charm swings when you move. Readings are used instantly to animate the charm, are never saved and never leave your phone. You can turn this off at any time in Settings.
Permissions and why we ask
Display over other apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW). Lets the charm hang at the top of your screen while you use other apps. It only draws the charm and only responds to touches on the charm and its cord. It cannot see, read or record anything on your screen.
Foreground service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE). Keeps the charm on screen when you switch apps. It runs only while you have the charm switched on.
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS, optional). Shows the small Lucky Charm notification with a Hide button. We ask only after you put the charm on screen, and the app works fully if you say no. It is never used for ads or marketing.
Run at startup (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED). Puts your charm back after your phone restarts, if you had it switched on.
Internet, network state and Google Play billing (INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, com.android.vending.BILLING). Used only to buy and restore the purchase described above.
You can withdraw any permission in Android Settings. The related feature simply stops working.
Sharing and selling
We do not sell your data and do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. RevenueCat and Google only process purchase data to provide the purchase service described above.
Security
Everything the app sends travels over encrypted HTTPS connections. Data on your phone is kept in the app’s private storage, protected by Android’s app sandbox. Purchase records are held by RevenueCat and Google on access-controlled servers, and only the people who run Lucky Charm can view our sales records.
Where data is processed
RevenueCat and Google may process purchase data in the United States and other countries where they operate, with safeguards required by law. We process it to provide what you bought and to meet our legal (tax and accounting) obligations.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to access, correct or delete the purchase data linked to you, or complain about how we handle it, by emailing apps@kraftostech.com. You may also contact your local data-protection authority.
Retention and deleting your data
To delete everything on your phone, uninstall Lucky Charm or go to Settings → Apps → Lucky Charm → Storage → Clear storage. Purchase records are kept while you might need to restore your purchase and as long as tax law requires. To ask us to delete them, email apps@kraftostech.com from any address with your Google Play order number; we reply within 30 days. There is no account to delete.
Children
Lucky Charm is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If the app starts handling data differently, we will update this page and its effective date before that version is released on Google Play.
